Phoenix - Sols 13 to 43 - R(1BC) & R(ABC) - 150 Pointings
My processing software was never really designed to do deck pans so I still have quite a bit of work to do on this to get it looking good. Nevertheless it's been a long time since I put out a colour version and the completed view is too good to keep to myself. So here is my latest test version:
EDIT - Replaced with an improved version
EDIT2 - New high resolution version here
EDIT3 - Polar (fish-eye) image here
10000 x 2499 version (4.7Mb)
5000 x 1250 version (1.0Mb)

Oh my, absolutely amazing.. a masterpiece in its own right. I love the detail in the fullsize version, makes things easier to understand and put things into context. I particularly like the detail we can see in the trenches dug so far to the left of the right solar panel array.

pictures from another world. how easily we just accept it. this is freaking mind boggling. these photos that look like the arizona desert are another world. It's Mars - that place where we used to read about in science fiction books and now we jutt go there and snap a photo. unbelievable.

Very professional James. You really bridge the gap between science & art.
What you are doing is assisting the advancement of human knowledge & well as producing a very impressive visual feast. Perhaps you should get in contact with a person called Anthony Bawdon (Anthmartian), on This Island Earth, who too produces incredible work.

Greetings, everybody
This is a beautiful sight, I wish, Carl Sagan could have lived to behold this breathtaking panorama. It is a privilege to live in our days and to have the hope for more discoveries yet to come.
best wishes
Ruediger
